Financial Freedom. An impossible dream?

financial freedom globaling

Achieving financial freedom is a common goal among the majority of the population. However, it falls into the category of utopia for many, an impossible dream—a pursuit reserved for few.

We can define financial freedom as having money without working. At least without having to dedicate most of the time to activities just because you have to live on something. It is also essential to engage in activities that generate personal satisfaction.

How to build financial freedom?

Financial freedom is achieved with planning. Establishing priorities, clear goals, and deadlines. Through a creative, ambitious, and realistic plan that includes a combination of savings and investment.

Using a sports analogy, it is a marathon and not a 100-meter race. Instead, it requires a long-term commitment and careful management of resources—a process where perseverance and discipline are fundamental ingredients.

There are no magic or miraculous formulas. Beyond that, the general objectives are always the same. We are not all the same or think in the same way.

Well-being in times of uncertainty

The idea of financial freedom increased its presence in the collective imagination with the Covid 19 pandemic. The global crisis focused on always having the necessary resources to live comfortably, safely, and calmly without depending on situations beyond personal control.

Enjoying the world and everything it offers without waiting for retirement has also become more relevant. The concept of working for decades to enjoy a retirement plan when you are no longer young has ceased to be influential among the new generations.
